Juventus defender, Giorgio Chiellini, has hinted that there was match-fixing involved in his side's controversial Champions League exit.

The Seria A giants were eliminated from the Champions League after Cristiano Ronaldo's last-gasp penalty.

English ref Michael Oliver awarded Real the spot-kick after adjudging Juve defender Mehdi Benatia had fouled Lucas Vazquez inside the area.

The decision angered the Juve players as skipper Gianluigi Buffon was sent off for verbal alterations with the referee.

And amid the chaos at the Bernabeu, veteran defender Chiellini appeared to suggest the match had been fixed.

Chiellini was spotted seemingly waving imaginary money at the Real players, which suggest that they had paid referee Oliver.

Speaking to Mediaset after the match, Chiellini said: "It's the biggest robbery I've suffered in my career,".

"It shouldn't be surprising, Bayern Munich went through it last year and this was Juve's turn.

"It is obvious that Real Madrid always benefit in the Champions League and that it never goes the other way."
