According to several sources, fast rising musician Jarhead aka Jesse Tabansi has died. He passed on after getting involved in a car crash alongside a friend who later survived the accident.
Jarhead was the son of billionaire businessman Anselm Tabansi who owns popular Lagos hotel, Maison Fahrenheit and Svengali furniture.
Before his unfortunate passing, Jarhead had released songs like Ki lon waso, Last Time, Shake, and Boma Ye. He was reportedly being groomed to take over his father’s businesses.

A quick look at his Instagram page reveals that his last words on the photo/video sharing app was “Come and go but don’t kill yourself.”
A couple of his colleagues in the industry have started sharing their condolences. Popular musician Banky W wrote that: “This is terrible, heart wrenching news. Met you through your Pops, and you immediately struck me as a kind soul and a bright light.
I can only imagine the pain your family must feel at this time. Rest in peace eternally Jesse. May God provide the strength and comfort that only He can, to your family and friends. Rest well champ... Rest well.”
Actress Adesua Etomi also paid her condolences. “Gone too soon. Rest well star,” she wrote. May his soul rest in peace, amen.
