Real Madrid too good for Malaga with a comfortable 2-1 win

- Real Madrid without Ronaldo record a 2-1 victory at Malaga

- Isco and Casemiro scored a goal in each half of the match

- Los Blancos will play the Bayern Munich in Champions League

Real Madrid recorded a comfortable 2-1 victory over Malaga in a week 32 match played at the Estadio La Rosaleda.

Zinedine Zidane did not travel with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Luka Modric to Malaga but Los Blancos had a commanding win over their counterparts.

The first half produced lots of actions as Karim Benzema, Kovacic, Lucas Vasquez all kept Malaga goalkeeper Roberto busy all through the encounter.

The deadlock was broken by former Malaga player Isco Alacron with a sublime free kick that gave the keeper no chance in the 29th minute. It was 1-0 to Madrid.

Isco should have made it two as he caught the opponents defence napping but selfishly sends his shot wide leaving Benzema alone in the box.

Madrid did look like a team that needed the missing trio as they had a fair share of possession going into the break.

Three minutes after the hour mark a good passing game from Vasquez to Benzema then to Isco who flicks the ball to Casemiro for an easy tap-in to double the score for Real.

Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye played 78 minutes before he was substituted as he made little or no impact in the match.

Before the last kick of the match Diego Rolan scored a consolation goal in the 92nd minute but Malaga continue to sink deeper into relegation with the defeat.

The race for La Liga title is technically over as Barcelona are just two wins away to be crowned Champions of Spain for the ninth time in 14 years.

In the Champions League semi finals draw made in Sion, Zurich, Zidane's side will play against a disciplined Bayern Munich squad.

The Bernabeu outfit will be aiming for their third consecutive title and their 13th overall in the elite competition.
