The Plateau state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied endorsing Governor Simon Bako Lalong for second term in 2019.
Daily Trust reports that the state chairman of the party, Latep Dabang, made the statement on Sunday, April 15, when reassuring all governorship aspirants of a level playing ground ahead of the APC primary election.
The APC leader said despite the standing ovation Lalong received from stakeholders when he declared his intention to seek a second term, the governor will not be given an automatic ticket.
The party also dismissed reports that it planned to print only one nomination form for Governor Lalong.
Meanwhile, Nigeria's ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted its National Convention Committee members.

The party on Sunday, April 15, released a list of its members to serve in its committees, drawn from different hierarchy and positions in the party.
The convention committee includes governors, senators, members of the House of Representatives and other caucuses in the party.
NAIJ.com checks revealed that the main committee has 47 members with the Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Abubakar Badaru as the chairman.
Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu and Sen. Ben Uwajumogu are the deputy chairman and secretary, respectively.
