First time mum reveals 9 things to expect during post-partum recovery

A first-time mother identified as Milena Sanchez has listed the nine things pregnant women should expect after pregnancy. The first-time mother shared her post-partum experience on social media.

The woman expressed that everything a woman goes through after birth is worth it everytime you set eyes on your child. She, however, revealed that she didn't have the easiest pregnancy and she always expected things to go back to normal after birth but they never did.

Sanchez went into a lengthy detail of what she went through, explaining that no one prepares an expecting mother for post partum.

She shared details such as a private part discharge containing blood that can last up to six weeks, having swollen private part and also her worry that she was incapable of being a mother because she didn’t cry the moment she laid eyes on her baby.

The new mother also revealed that post-partum recovery also had its effect on her marriage. She stated that she had post natal depression.

She said: "There needs to be more information provided to first time Mums, especially regarding post natal depression. We need to make Mums-to-be realise that no question is a stupid question and that there are people there to support them with the correct guidance."
