- Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has emerged as a summer transfer target for Chelsea
- The Blues see the 29-year-old forward as a good player that can lead their attack in all competitions next season
- But they will have to compete with Spanish side Real Madrid to get his signature
Premier League side Chelsea are now said to be turning their attention to Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski for the possibility of bringing him to Stamford Bridge this summer.
After failing to defend their Premier League title this season, the Blues are expected to hit the transfer market with millions for them to sign new legs ahead of next season.
And according to the report by Spanish media outlet, Don Balon, Chelsea are interested in the signing of Bayern Munich hit-man and are ready to meet his release clause at the end of the season.
The report also stated that Bayern Munich will allow the 29-year-old Polish striker to leave Germany to join any club that can meet their £86 million demand.
Don Balon also claim that Robert Lewandowski's imminent arrival at Stamford Bridge will bring an end to Alvaro Morata's stay at the London based club.
But Chelsea must be aware that Spanish champions Real Madrid are also interested in the signing of Robert Lewandowski and they will also make their move this summer.
Robert Lewandowski was born on August 21, 1988, and after being the top scorer in the third and second tiers of Polish football with Znicz Pruszków, he moved to top-flight Lech Poznań, and was the top scorer in the League as they won the 2009–10 Ekstraklasa.
In 2010, he transferred to Borussia Dortmund for a reported €4.5 million, where he won honors including two consecutive Bundesliga titles and a season as the League's top goalscorer.
In the year 2013, he earned with Borussia a spot in the 2013 UEFA Champions League Final, tournament where he was the second top goalscorer behind only Cristiano Ronaldo.
