CSKA Moscow central midfielder Aleksandr Golovin has emerged as a summer transfer target for Premier League side Chelsea and the Blues are ready to sign him this summer.

The 21-year-old Russian international has since last summer been linked with a move to Arsenal, but Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich wants to block his move to the Gunners.

According to Russian outlet, Sport24, Roman Abramovich wants to bring his fellow countryman Golovin to Stamford Bridge next season.

But the report states Golovin will be immediately loaned out to Chelsea's serial loan recipients, Vitesse Arnhem.

Aleksandr Golovin has scored six goals and provided five assists in 38 games across all competitions this season.

Golovin made his Russian Football Premier League debut for PFC CSKA Moscow on 14 March 2015 in a game against FC Mordovia Saransk.

On December 2 2016, Golovin extended his contract with CSKA Moscow until the end of the 2020–21 season.

The 21-year-old won the 2013 UEFA European Under-17 Championship with Russia national under-17 football team, with which he also participated in the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

He is expected to be part of the Russian national team that will host the 2018 FIFA World Cup which will start in June.
