Premier League side Liverpool have received double injury boost ahead of the Champions League semi-final first leg against Roma at Anfield next week.

Red's defender, Dejan Lovren, is expected to be fit after limping off against Bournemouth on Saturday April 14 with Liverpool playing down the problem, which is understood to be tightness in his muscle.

Liverpool Echo also reported that Joe Gomez is close to returning to full training after missing the last four weeks with ankle ligament damage.

Lovren has formed a solid defensive double act with Virgil van Dijk and has been enjoying the best spell of his Liverpool career.
