Premier League clubs are jostling to secure the signature of Ajax defender Matthijs De Ligt despite huge Barcelona interest.
Spanish media, El Mundo Deportivo, reports that the Dutch international is in talks with Barcelona about a summer move to Spain.
However, the Camp Nou giants face stiff competition from England, where Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United have all opened talks with Ajax about a fee for the youngster.
And with the emerging interest from the English teams, De Ligt now has hesitation about moving to Barcelona as he has concerns about his playing opportunities with the Blaugrana.
Barca, however, are prepared to secure an option on De Ligt if an immediate deal cannot be done.
NAIJ.com previously reported that Barcelona were held to a 2-2 draw in a week 33 match in La Liga played at the Estadio Municipal de Balaidos.
It was clearly an end-to-end stuff to the delight of the fans as both teams created numerous scoring chances but could only convert a few.
