Violent protesters stormed the Senate chamber on Wednesday, April 18, and stole the mace. The protesters are supporters of a suspended senator, Ovie Omo-Agege. They left the National Assembly with the maze in a black SUV.
The thugs were allegedly hired by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who was suspended for accusing his colleagues of working against President Muhammadu Buhari.
Senator Omo-Agege, representing Delta Central, was suspended for his stance over the re-ordering of the election sequence.
