Emir Muhammad Sanusi II of Kano has ordered the state’s Hisbah board to investigate an alleged immorality by youths of Badawa, Kawo, Sauna and Haye in the Nassarawa local government area of at a football viewing centre.
The Punch reports that the residents of the areas earlier complained to the emir that the viewing centre had become a platform for immoral and criminal acts. The centre was opened by one Anwulu Sankara, according to the report.
Led by Mohammed A-Hassan, the residents further claimed that the centre is now being used for the sale and consumption of illegal substances.
It was learnt that Emir Sanusi addressed a crowd and directed the Hisbah board to investigate the allegations and bring the culprits to book.

The Emir visited the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) in Kano, where he paid the bills of a 22-year-old Quranic teacher who was on admission.

The teacher identified as Nayif Ismail, who was on admission and awaiting kidney transplant surgery, was full of gratitude after the kindness shown to him by the monarch.
