2019: Pro-Buhari group storms London to support president's re-election bid (photos)

Some supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, April 19 staged a solidarity walk in London for the president's re-election bid.

The pro-Buhari group displayed their support for President Muhammadu Buhari's second term in office come 2019.

NAIJ.com notes that the president's supporters were seen carrying placards with the inscription "I stand with Buhari 2019".

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, April 9, in Abuja declared his intention to seek re-election in 2019. Malam Garba Shehu, the president’s senior special assistant on media and publicity, confirmed this development in a statement in Abuja on Monday.

He said that the president made the declaration at a closed-door meeting of the National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Senator Domingo Obende, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo state, expressed optimism that President Muhammadu Buhari would win the 2019 presidential election even if the ruling party lost in 12 states.

When asked if the current crisis in the APC would not affect the party’s success in the 2019 general elections, Obende said: “If you go round the 24 states that the APC is controlling, they are all doing well. And if they are doing well, obviously the followers will ensure that the party wins at the polls. And when you take 24 out of 36, you have only 12 left.
