A coalition of forty-two political parties has agreed to field and support one presidential candidate in the 2019 general elections.
Daily Trust reports that they explained that there was need for them to push out the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and form a new government in 2019.
NAIJ.com gathered that while addressing a press conference on Friday, April 20, in Abuja, the chairman of the coalition under the aegis of Committee of Concerned Political Parties (CCPP), Breakforth Onwunbuya, said the parties are not merging but will field and support only one presidential candidate.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported that some Nigerians expressed their displeasure over the president’s re-election bid, while pro-Buharists have continued to garner supports for his second term ambition.
