Premier League campaigners Arsenal are likely to lose one of their youngsters Arthur Okonkwo this summer owing to contract issues.

The England youth international is yet to sign a new deal with the Gunners with German League side RB Leipzig and Celtic reportedly to be on his trail.

According to The Mirror, the 16-year-old is one of the hotshots with a chance of graduating to the club’s main team in the coming.

However, with the north London team slowing down on handing new contracts to their youngsters at the moment, Okonkwo might be on his way out of the club at the end of this season.

The same publication claims he has been offered a scholarship which would see him earn a professional contract when he turns 17 in September.

Meanwhile, with no agreement made by the two parties, the Scottish League side and the Bundesliga outfit are closely monitoring the situation.

The goalkeeper are said to be unhappy with the way Arsenal handles their contract issues as they are in danger of losing some of their top future stars.

Arsenal face Atletico Madrid on Thursday, April 26, in the first leg of their Europa League semi final clash at the Emirates Stadium, and they will hope they can build on their 4-1 victory over West Ham United yesterday.

As it stands, they are sixth on the EPL log with 57 points from 34 games- four games to the end of this season and they will be hoping they can wrap up this term fifth on the log to play in Europe next season.

Also, they will be hoping they can gift their outgoing manager Arsene Wenger, a parting gift as he ends his 22-year reign at the club this summer.
