Arsenal have reportedly launched a bid to sign Manchester United and Chelsea target Radja Nainggolan this summer.

The 29-year-old has been impressive all season long for the Giallorossi helping them reach the Champions League semifinals for the first time in their history.

However, the Italian side might be forced to sell the Belgium international to balance the books at the end of the ongoing league season.

Meanwhile, with Arsene Wenger set to quit the Emirates Stadium outfit this summer, the new coach will have to rebuild the team – hence the need to buy new players.

And the north Londoners might be in the pole position to sign the player, who turns 30 next month, and will negate Wenger’s age policy of players while at the club.

On the case of who takes over from the Frenchman as from the coming league season, former Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique has been tipped to succeed Wenger at Arsenal.

And should the Spaniard become the Gunners boss next season, he might force the club to make the Belgian as central to his Gunners revolution.

Earlier this month, he admitted: “I’ve never won anything, but I think that for those who know me, I’ve always played to win.

“Sometimes I prefer to take the hardest path. It would be too easy to go to a winning team and win.

“For me, it’s better to be a leading light for a less-favoured team and win with them.

“I chose Roma for that reason too. It’s an important club, and a club like Roma deserve to win something important.”

Arsenal will host Atletico Madrid at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night for their Europa League semifinal clash before going to Spain for the second leg of the encounter next week.

Should the north Londoners win this European title, Wenger would have led the Emirates Stadium outfit to their 18th title in his 22-year reign as the head coach at the club.
