Spanish champions Real Madrid are still said to be interested in bringing Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea to the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
David De Gea has for the last three seasons emerged as a target for Real Madrid, and he was even on the verge of joining Los Blancos last term.
According to the latest report by Spanish media outlet Diario Gol, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has put €100m cash aside to tempt Manchester United into selling David de Gea.
The report added that the Los Blancos' chief wants the deal to be done before the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
David De Gea is also said to have told Real Madrid chiefs that he will only join them this summer if the club sell current number 1 Keylor Navas.
But Real Madrid does not want to unsettle Navas as they are one step to the final of the Champions League and will wait till the end of the season.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly told Real Madrid chiefs to bring Manchester United goalie David De Gea to the club next season.
The Spanish goalkeeper has for years being a target for Los Blancos, and Ronaldo believes Real Madrid can sign the Spaniard at the end of the season.
According to the report by Don Balon, Ronaldo mentioned the name of David De Gea in a meeting with the club's chiefs as a player he wants to play with next season at the Bernabeu.
