Real Madrid captain, Sergio Ramos, has goaded Jose Mourinho over his spell at Los Blancos.

The Portuguese spent three seasons at the Spanish capital, helping Real win the Copa del Rey and La Liga.

But he could not manage a Champions League win, exiting at the semi-final stage in three successive seasons to Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Mourinho clashed with several Real players and publicly criticised World Cup winner Ramos on a number of occasions.

Iker Casillas, Ramos and another disgruntled senior squad member, reportedly told president Florentino Perez: "In June [2013], either Mourinho leaves or we will."

Ramos was asked about current Real coach Zinedine Zidane's situation after Real won 2-1 at Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

"The Madrid coach will always be questioned," Ramos told reporters after the game.

"They must know how to live with that. I have been here many years, in the first seven or eight I did not win even one Champions League and there were coaches who there was not a word said against."

"I take my hat off to Zidane, for his management and his CV as both a player and a coach. He knows how to make the tough decisions, and we are all very happy to have him guiding our boat."

Mourinho is Real's second-longest serving coach this century, behind only Vicente del Bosque.

NAIJ.com previously reported that former Real Madrid president, Ramon Calderon, has hinted that his successor Florentino Perez will never sack current team boss Zinedine Zidane.

Calderon believes that Zidane will only leave Los Blancos on his own accord.
