As far as football coaching and managing a club is concerned, current Manchester United gaffer Jose Mourinho is regarded as one of the greatest and most successful managers in the world considering his achievements.

In 2017, Mourinho was named among the 10 greatest coaches since the foundation of UEFA in 1954, and also last year, he also became the first coach to have spent more than £1 billion on transfers.

The successes he recorded at all the clubs he managed masterminded his move to Premier League club Manchester United.

But the 55-year-old put smiles to the faces of all Manchester United fans as he won the EFL Cup and also the 2016/17 Europa League title.

And since last season that Jose Mourinho became the coach of Manchester United, he has signed eight players in which two of these players have left Old Trafford.

3. Paul Pogba

On 8 August, 2016, Pogba was signed by Manchester United on a five-year contract for a then-record for highest football transfer fee at €105 million (£89.3 million) plus bonuses of €5 million, surpassing the former record holder Gareth Bale.

But this season, the Frenchman has reportedly had a bust up with Jose Mourinho, and there are reports he could leave Old Trafford this summer.

4. Henrikh Mhkitaryan

Last season, Henrikh Mkhitaryan was signed by Manchester United with £30m from Borussia Dortmund, but he failed to live up to expectations until he was sold to Arsenal this term.

5. Victor Lindelof

Victor Lindelof has yet to impress, but Mourinho is convinced the £31m defender will grow into one of the best centre-backs in the country when he gets more accustomed to the Premier League.

6. Nemanja Matic

Nemanja Matic was seen as a steal at £40m from Jose’s former club Chelsea, but since he joined Manchester United, the 29-year-old Serbia international has been superb for the Red Devils.
