Ahead of the 2019 presidential election, support groups for former vice president Atiku Abubakar, have maintained their effort to promote the political ambition of the Wazir in Adamawa.
The national youth campaign group for Atiku has vowed to mobilize not less than five million Nigerian youths to march in support for their principal, the Independent reports.
Comrade Adegboyega Adeleke, the coordinator of the campaign group, in a statement issued on Saturday, May 5 at the unveiling ceremony of the #Unstoppable Atiku 2019 in Kaduna, said: “The goal of the group is to build an army of people that believe in the ability, loyalty and faithfulness of Atiku Abubakar.”
“Atiku Abubakar is one of the very few Nigerians that has dedicated his life to serving God through humanity.
“Atiku has become a force to reckon with when it comes to politics, governance and the business community.
“Indeed, the Wazirin Adamawa is a gladiator in the Nigerian political sphere thereby, positioning himself as a role model and mentor to many as he is always on track when it comes to political and economic calculations.
He praised Atiku for his contributions towards the return of democracyin the country and its sustenance since 1999.
The national coordinator stressed that the primary assignment of everyone in the #Unstoppable Atiku 2019 team is to continuously propagate the former vice president to the whole country in the attempt to bring about the emergence of a better Nigeria.
Adeleke stated:“We have, as a team, concluded arrangements to mobilize five million youths for Atiku from various strata of the Nigerian society.
“Must we allow Nigeria to be driven on autopilot while we have elected leaders and a government in place? All we want is a country where youths will be provided with employment opportunities.”
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com reported that the Fast Forward Nigeria (FFN) said it was supporting Atiku’s ambition to rule the country as well as his warning and suggestion concerning the need to restructure the country.
The FFN said the former vice president’s suggestion on restructuring was the only way for national cohesion.
