Headies 2018: Mayorkun wins Next Rated award

DMW Singer Mayorkun has won the next rated award in the 12th edition of the Headies awards.

Mayorkun was able to edge out other artistes such as British-born Nigerian producer and recording artiste, Maleek Berry, Choc City’s Dice Ailes, Mavin Records alternative producer-artiste, Johnny Drille and eastern rap sensation, Zoro.

Recall that Maleek Berry was a shock winner at the Soundcity MVP Award Festival having won in the Best New Artist category, defeating Mayorkun, Dice Ailes and Small Doctor.

In usual DMW fashion, the whole crew came out to celebrate with the artiste.

Mayorkun earned the award through his steady dishing out of hit record over the past year. Mama, Che Che, Bobo and other collaborations.
