A motorcyclist in Delta state who allegedly took overdose of tramadol to get high bit more than he could chew after the adversely affected him and got him almost killed the line of duty before he was rescued from passers-by.
The Okada rider, as motorcyclists are popularly called, was allegedly carrying two ladies when he was hit by the effect of the drugs and fell down from his bike.
It was gathered that the Okada man who is a Hausa man started fighting people as the rescuers wanted to take him to a nearby mosque.
They forced sugar into his mouth before pouring him buckets of water in a bid to wake him up and stabilize him as he almost died in the process.
NAIJ.com previously reported that an unidentified young man in his mid 20s from Abraka community, Ethiope East local government area of Delta state, was confirmed dead after ingesting a drug substance suspected to be Tramadol.
Sources said that the deceased, who slumped in front of his shop along Abraka/Eku expressway, had been a regular user of Tramadol.
He was rushed to the hospital where he died. According to a medical staff of the General Hospital, Abraka where the deceased was taken to for medical attention, the man was rushed to the hospital half dead in a commercial tricycle.
