- Lionel Messi scored in Barcelona's 2-2 draw against Real Madrid on Sunday, May 6 at the Camp Nou
- He has scored 33 league goals in 34 appearances to help his Spanish League side to their 25th title triumph
- Meanwhile, Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu reveals that the club has never received any offer for the Argentine international
Spanish League champions Barcelona have disclosed that no club has offered to sign their star striker Lionel Messi according to the club’s president, Josep Maria Bartomeu.
The 30-year-old, who has scored 3 goals in 34 La Liga games this season has spent all of his career at the Camp Nou since he joined their youth system at the age of 13.
Although, the Argentine international was linked with a move away from the club in Luis Enrique’s first season – with Manchester City said to be interested in lading him back them.
Meanwhile, the attacker, who has a contract with the Blaugrana until the summer of 2021 might be planning to see out his contract.
Bartomeu also feels that the five-time Ballon d’Or has more fuel in him to win one or two more Champions League title with the club, while he also vie for individual accolades.
He also added that the Argentina international's future has never been a subject of discussion as apparently no potential suitors have even asked how much it would cost to buy the five-time Ballon d'Or and four-time Champions League winner.
"No one has ever called Barca to ask how much Messi is worth," he told RAC 1.
"There is still time for Messi to win another one, two or three Champions League titles before he retires."
Messi helped his side maintain their unbeaten run in the league this season after playing 2-2 draw against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou on Sunday after scoring his side’s second goal in the game.
Despite losing to Roma in the Champions League quarter finals, Bartomeu claims the club has had a good season – winning both the La Liga title and the Copa Del Rey.
"I put an excellent rating on Barca's season. A nine," he added. "We are very happy with the work of Valverde and the players. We needed this long run of games without losing.
"We have always said that winning the Champions League regularly is not the most important thing. Madrid have had good Champions League campaigns lately. We have to continue working on this aspect to reach the finals.
"Roma's comeback was sad for us. We had the ambition to reach the semi-finals and the final.
"There was nothing wrong with the result. Roma were superior. They passed us by. The important thing is that we recovered later."
Ernesto Valverde’s men clinched their seventh La Liga title after conquering Spain in this league season while their tally stand at 25 titles.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has won eight Spanish League cups, six Copa Del Reys and seven Spanish Super Cups, and has also won four Champions League titles.
He also won three FIFA Club World Cup, while he has got to three Copa America finals and one World Cup finalist.
