It might be a sin against God not to have PVCs - Adeboye tells Christians

The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said Christians might be sinning against God if they failed to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs).
The Nation reports that the cleric made the statement at a special prayer and thanksgiving service organised by RCCG’s national headquarters, Throne of Grace Parish, on Redemption Way in Ebutte Metta, Lagos.

The well known pastor was said to have urged Christians to register for their PVCs as 2019 draws nearer, so that they could to choose politicians of their choice.
Adeboye noted that it was biblical for Christians to pray for those in positions of authority, adding that voting is a civil right that must be obeyed and followed by all eligible voters.
“Nigerians should be ready to vote for credible and God-fearing people in positions of authority at all levels of governance. Those who are currently in power but are not serving us well should be voted out," the general overseer, represented by his assistant general overseer and special assistant of administration and personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, said.

He decried the killings in Benue and other parts of the country, pointing that the killings had dented the current administration for failing to protect its citizens.
He called on Nigerians to vote out politicians who are aiding and supporting the killing of fellow beings, irrespective of who they are.
Meanwhile, the pastor and founder of the Flock of Christ Mission, Warri, Delta state, Bishop Simeon Okah, has banned members of his church that have not obtained their Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC) from worshipping in the church premises.
The pastor urged all members to take the issue of PVC serious and go out to get one as elections draw near. Okah, who is also the vice president of the south south Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) announced the decision on Saturday, while addressing the press.
The possession of the PVC has been made an issue in recent months as the elections draw near. Many churches and establishments have taken steps to allow their employees obtain the all important voting card.
