There was a pandemonium in Badia police station in Ijora area of Lagos state on Tuesday, May 8, when two police and some naval men engaged free-for-all fight over some common issues.
Daily Trust reports that the two policemen known as Sergeant Tunde and Mogbojuri sustained severe injuries during the confrontation at the Ijora axis of Apapa-Wharf Road.
It was learnt that the uniform of both Mogbojuri and his colleague was turned to shred.
An eyewitness who identified himself simply as Mohammed said the policemen beat a retreat when it was apparent that the Naval men were having an upper hand.
Mohammed also said Sgt. Tunde hurriedly ran to the station to inform his superior officers, who immediately followed him to the scene.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that soldiers and policemen attached to the Abuja Environmental Protection Board clashed with officials of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) after a fight broke out when efforts were made to serve the FRSC office in Wuze Zone 7 a violation notice.
The confrontation ensued when policemen and soldiers with the AEBP officials allegedly assaulted a female FRSC marshal during the service of the violation notice.
The newspaper stated that a soldier attached to the AEPB task force was reportedly wounded and a civilian staff of the environmental agency was taken hostage by the FRSC officials during the fight.
