Real Madrid lose 3-2 to Sevilla in tough La Liga match

- Ben Yedda, Layun score as Sevilla defeat Real Madrid by 3-2

- Los Blancos scored two late goals but it was too little too late

- Real men will play Celta Vigo and Villareal in their final games

Sevilla avenged their first half defeat of the season at the hands of Real Madrid as they narrowly won the by 3-2.

Though Zinedine Zidane rested most of his players for the tie but only a few first team starters like Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema and Casemiro were present in the match.

Sevilla drew first blood through Wissam Ben Yedderin in the 26th minute of the match as Luis Muriel provided the assist for the Frenchman to put his side in the lead.

Joaquin Caparros' side added the second a minute before half time with the easiest of finishes where Miguel Layun had an easy tap-in.

Los Blancos came out stronger in the second period as Real were awarded a penalty in the 58th minuter after Lucas Vasquez was tripped in the box.

Ramos took responsibility but his shot hit the cross-bar to the delight of the home fans as the score remained 2-0.

The Madrid captain also had another chance to score but his effort went off target and in the 83rd minute it was 3-0.

Layun cuts the defence open with a through pass as Ramos put the ball into the back of his own net for an own goal.

There was high drama at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium in the closing stages of the match as Mayoral headed a Marco Asensio's cross in the 87th minute to make it 3-2.

Then in the sixth minute of added time Real were handed another penalty as Theo Hernandez was pushed in the box.

Ramos made no mistake this time as he thucks it away to make the 3-2 but it was too little too late for the Galaticos.

Real maintain their position in third as they are five points above Valencia in fourth place and still have Celta Vigo and Villareal to play before the season ends.
