- Egypt international Mohamed Salah has been named the EA SPORTS Player of the Season
- He has a total of 43 goals in all competition in his debut season for the Reds
- The 25-year-old beat Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and a couple others to the prestigious award
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has won yet another award for his impressive performance for the Reds in his first year at the club.
The Egyptian forward was won the EA SPORTS Player of the Season award after an impressive performance for the Reds in his debut season at the club.
He beat fellow Premier League players including Kevin De Bruyne, David De Gea, Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and James Tarkowski to the prize.
Salah joined the Anfield side last summer from Italian side, AS Roma, and he has gone ahead to score 43 goals in all competitions for his Premier League side this season.
He became the joint-highest goals scorer in a 38-match season after scoring 31 goals, and should he score in his side’s last match against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday, he would have successfully set a new goal record in the league.
The former Chelsea star also became the first African player to score 30 goals in a single campaign, and the only man to win three EA SPORTS Player of the Month awards in the same season.
Reacting to the award, Salah said: "I am very happy, I am very proud to win it.
"They say I didn't have success here the first time, so it was always in my mind to have success here in the Premier League."
He was crowned the winner of the prestigious award after receiving the most combined votes from a panel of experts, Premier League captains and fans via a public vote.
His EA SPORTS award adds to the individual honours Salah won from the PFA and the Football Writers Association this season.
Earlier, NAIJ.com reported that Mohamed Salah was crowned the Players' Player of the Year and Liverpool Player of the Year.
He was also named the best player at the Football Writer's awards on Thursday night in London following his superb performance this term.
Earlier in the season, he became the second African player to win the PFA player of the year award after Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez.
