The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Odigie-Oyegun, has reportedly called Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state an abusive governor who lacks decorum adding that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the forthcoming election.
Daily Sun reports that Oyegun spoke when the governor of Nasarawa state and chairman of the APC committee for the Ekiti governorship primary, Tanko Al-Makura, submitted the report.
Oyegun, who commended the committee for a job well done, praised the aspirants for displaying a spirit of sportsmanship adding that the disrupted primary was an opportunity to organise a perfect one.
He also said the committees, aspirants and the delegates at the primary deserves gold medals.
“We are working to ensure that the victory you have started is carried through come July 14, this year at the governorship election.
“APC is taking the forthcoming Ekiti governorship election seriously to redeem the state from a very abusive government. The Ekiti state present governor is very abusive and lacked decorum,” Oyegun said.
In an earlier remark, Al-Makura attributed the success of primary election to the maturity exhibited by the aspirants, delegates and party members.

According to him, the election was successful because of the cooperation, passion and commitment of party members, delegates and the aspirants, adding:
“More than anything else, it is the conduct of the delegates at the primary, they were very matured and orderly,” he said adding that despite the rainfall, delegates carried out their expected tasks.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday, May 13, congratulated the solid minerals development minister and former governor of Ekiti, Kayode Fayemi, for emerging the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming election in the state.
Buhari said he had trust in Fayemi’s capacity and capability to fly the party’s flag and win the election which has been scheduled for July 14.
