- Unai Emery gives his opinion concerning rumours about Neymar's departure
- The outgoing Spanish coach won the Ligue 1 title with PSG in his last season
- Neymar recently vented his frustrations about news linking him out of PSG
Departed Paris Saint Germain coach Unai Emery has responded to speculation linking Neymar to Manchester United and Real Madrid, Express reports.
The Brazil international is being linked with the heavyweight clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
The PSG attacker who was named in Brazil’s World Cup squad for Russia reportedly wants to quit the Parc des Princes claiming he is unhappy.
The 26-year-old joined from Barcelona last summer in a world-record £200m deal that saw him become the world’s most-expensive footballer of all time.
The ex-Santos winger has fired PSG to the Ligue 1 title before injuring his ankle which ensured outgoing boss Emery bowed out on a high.
The Spanish manager insisted Neymar will not be joining United or Real this summer.
“This season there have been times when everything related to Neymar was oversized,” Emery told Cadena SER.
“Neymar is not talking much. He told us he was tired of the lies that are told.
“I’m not going to be Neymar’s spokesperson, but I think the next season he is going to stay at PSG.
“It would be the right thing for the player and for the club.”
“Madrid or United? Everyone knows what I have come here to do, the goals I have, my goal now is the World Cup, it is not a time to talk about transfers, I am a bit bored now,” he said.
However reports have claimed if the Parc des Princes outfit are to do business for Neymar it will not be for anything less than £300m.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com recently reported, Neymar was frustrated with the rumours concerning his transfer and that he is more focused in making it through to the World Cup.
