The Super Eagles of Nigeria have maintained the 47th position in the recently released FIFA ranking on Thursday May 17.
Gernot Rohr's side was ranked in the same 47th globally and sixth in Africa when the last list was released and they still maintained the same position in the latest ranking.
The elite football regulatory body FIFA, took to their official website to release the latest ranking ahead of the incoming World Cup next month.
Germany maintain the top position on the latest released ranking and they were followed closely by Brazil, Belgium, Portugal, Argentina and Switzerland respectively.
While north Africa side, Tunisia is the first among the African teams in the list but they sit on the 14th position in the global ranking.
NAIJ.com previously reported that in the April edition of the FIFA ranking, Nigeria Super Eagles have been named the 47th best team in the world by the governing body.
Gernot Rohr's side moved five places up from 52nd to 47th position this is as a result of continuity in the result posted by the Green and White.
The Super Eagles played two friendlies last month against Poland and Serbia as Rohr's men won and lost the two matches respectively.
