- Willian stylishly hints that his relationship with Antonio Conte is not cordial
- The 29-year-old is wanted by his former manager Jose Mourinho
- He scored six goals in 36 appearances in the Premier League this season
Brazil and Chelsea star Willian has reportedly revealed that his relationship with Antonio Conte isn’t cordial according to Express Sport.
The 29-year-old attacker was tipped to join Manchester United in January after failing to make starting lineup in most of the Blues games.
He started 20 out of the 36 Premier League appearances he made for the Stamford Bridge outfit in the recently concluded season, but was still named Chelsea Players’ Player of the Season.
With the Italian manager likely to end his reign at the club, Willian claims he would not be bothered if the 50-year-old leaves this summer.
When asked about his relationship with the manager, Willian told ESPN Brasil: “Oh boy! Do you really want me to tell you?”
Both Willian and the interviewer laughed, before adding: “Well, some other… let’s save it for one next interview.”
The Red Devils are said to have had an unofficial meeting with the Brazilian’s representatives over a possible summer move to Old Trafford.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United will meet for the last time this season when they file out this weekend at the Wembley Stadium for the FA Cup final on Saturday, May 19.
United’s current manager, Mourinho signed Willian during his second reign at Chelsea in 2013 and has previously attempted to sign the winger for Manchester United.
Meanwhile, the Brazil international still has a running contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit until the summer of 2020.
Express Sport citing Manchester Evening News claims Red Devils manager will be willing to make an exception for Willian having previously indicated he has no intention of making attacking signings this summer.
And Mourinho recently hinted to making a lucrative signing when he said: "I think that a team without a Brazilian isn't a team.
"But also, a squad with three or four Brazilian athletes, depending on their profile, cannot make a great team too. I'm kidding!
"I think their talent is fantastic and the creativity of the Brazilian player cannot be measured.
"If a European team, like, very European, could have a Brazilian in their squad, it would bring a 'Brazilian thing' to the game and I think that's very important."
NAIJ.com earlier reported that Manchester United are planning to make a move for the Chelsea winger, Willian this summer.
This will be the second time the Red Devils will making a move for the forward after their attempt to sign him failed last summer.
The Brazil superstar joined the Blues in the summer of 2013-14 season and he has been superb for the Stamford Bridge side.
