Relegated Premier League outfit, West Bromwich Albion, is set to announce Darren Moore as their manager after his successful stint in interim charge.

Moore, 44, took over in April following the sacking of Alan Pardew and oversaw a striking improvement in results, winning three and drawing two of his six matches to give the Baggies hope of survival where there had seemingly been none.

Unfortunately for the Albion, relegation was confirmed before a final-day defeat at Crystal Palace and Moore has been entrusted with trying to return the club to the Premier League.

The former defender has coached at West Brom for several years but this will be his first experience of full-time management.

West Brom considered other candidates, including the Brentford manager, Dean Smith but decided to saddle the responsibilities of Premier League football on Moore as an appreciation of his impressive short stint as interim manager.

NAIJ.com previously reported that West Brom have been relegated from the Premier League on Tuesday night, May 8, despite not losing any game since Darren Moore took charge as manager.

Swansea's defeat against Southampton ended West Brom's eight years campaign in the Premier League as they will have to play in the lower division next season.
