My spirit is unshakable - Dino Melaye

Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi west at the Senate has said his spirit and resolve is unshakable in the face of the police case he is facing

The senator who made the statement on Instagram on Friday, May 18, said police illegal arrest and harassment did not start now.

He recalled that the court awarded 10 million naira damages to him following police harassment 10 years ago.

Speaking in biblical terms, he said: “Fear not him that can destroy or damage the body, fear only Him that can destroy both the body and the Spirit."

Legit.ng had reported that the high court in Lokoja, Kogi state granted Senator Dino Melaye, representing Kogi West, a bail in the sum of N10 million.

Justice Nasiru Ajanah, who granted Senator Melaye bail based on his health challenge, on Wednesday, May 16, gave a condition that the lawmaker must provide a surety in the like sum.

Justice Nasir Ajanah gave the order on Friday, May 4, after the senator’s counsel, Mike Ezekhome (SAN) sought for his bail.
