- Manchester United star Paul Pogba has labelled Jose Mourinho as crazy
- The pair have both had clashes resulting to the midfielder being benched
- Pogba was included in Didier Deschamps squad for the Russia 2018 World Cup
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba called Jose Mourinho “the craziest” after their disappointing FA Cup loss to Chelsea.
The France international wasted a glorious opportunity to level the scores when he planted a free header off target.
United finished the season trophyless as Mourinho blasted his counterpart Antonio Conte’s negative tactics after the game.
The 25-year-old has not seen eye-to-eye with Mourinho this season, resulting to the midfielder being dropped and regularly substituted.
Pogba was candid in his response when he was specifically asked about his relationship with Mourinho.
"I had moments without playing but we do not have to go and eat with the coach at a restaurant," the France international told Canal+.
“I’m responding on the pitch, giving my best. [Mourinho] has not changed. He is a bit crazy, always the same.
“He has won his titles, he is second in the league, he is Mourinho - he is the craziest between us.”
United’s captaincy looks set to be up for grabs next season with the legendary Michael Carrick now retired.
The former Juvetus midfielder has captained the Red Devils a number of times during the campaign, previously describing the role as an 'honour'.
"I think in leadership I have progressed with him [Mourinho],” he added.
“It's important for me and it helps me grow to be leader for France."
