- A presidential aspirant of the APC has congratulated all the emerging leaders from the just concluded congress
- Charles Udeogaranya urged the executives to be mindful of the leadership roles
- He also said that while President Muhammadu Buhari is a good man, he is not the best option for the APC
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Charles Udeogaranya, has advised his party to ensure it brings positive change at the presidential level.
Speaking after the just concluded party congress, Udeogaranya who is also a presidential aspirant of the APC said all executives must be mindful of the leadership role they are going to play during APC's upcoming presidential primary election.
Congratulating the emerging leaders, Udeogaranya said while his fellow contestant - President Muhammadu Buhari - in the 2019 presidential election is a good man, he is not the best option for the party.
Udeogaranya said: “I also congratulate our emerging delegates and advise them to be mindful of the leadership role they are going to play during our party, APC upcoming presidential primary.
“In choosing our presidential flagbearer, my co-contestant, President Muhamadu Buhari is a good man, but not the best of options as our presidential flag bearer, because Nigeria needs more than a good man to have her problems solved in the fastest possible time.
"Instead, I am the real change and the best option at the presidential level that our party, APC and Nigeria need.
"The times we are living in demands for citizens with a new orientation of skills, versatility in problem-solving knowledge, hunters of talents, producers of mental labour products and merchants of intellect to take leadership responsibilities.
“In this age of technology, nothing compares to Charles Udo Udeogaranya presidency for Nigeria and Africa, because my presidency foundation is solidly built in empowering citizens through active economic participation and that’s why I believe that money in the hands of government is unproductive and that government in business is bad business."
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that a former chieftain of the APC had urged President Buhari to apologise to Nigerian youth over his "lazy youth comment". Timi Frank said the president's comment cannot be justified because the government has not given the youth opportunity to serve.
He added that there was no need to demarket the Nigerian youth at an international event like Commonwealth Business Forum.
