It was a sorrowful gathering as two Catholic priests and 17 parishioners allegedly killed by suspected herdsmen were buried in Makurdi, the Benue state capital on Tuesday, May 22.
The 19 victims of the attack were buried at the Ayati pilgrim site near Ikpayongo in Gwer East local government area of the state.
The governor of the state, Samuel Ortom, declared Tuesday, May 22, a work-free day to honour them.
However, during the burial, a Facebook user, identified as Prince Kennedy, alleged that something mysterious happened to the sky.
His words: "Happening Now in Benue State Nigeria
"Heavens React as the corpses of two Catholic Priests, Rev.Joseph Gor, Rev. Felix and 13 other Catholic members are set for burial in Benue State Nigeria.
"The prayers of Christians is touching God's heart."

Okpere Ikhayere Paulinus's reaction is that of anger. He angrily dismissed the claim, saying that "if heaven didn't stop the bullets on the day they were murdered, heaven must be an illusive and imaginary nonsense."
Nelson Enoma approached the report from another dimension. He questioned Christianity, asking rhetorically why Jesus did not save the priests in the first place.
Eheduru Felicia Urewuchi is among those who believed the claim. Apparently a Christian devout, Urewuchi said that "it is only people who are are filled with the Holy Spirit that will see signs and interpret it."
Osas S Osula's reaction is hilarious. In a bluntly and sarcastically dismissive tone, Osula said the sky changed because it was about rain. Read his hilarious comment below:
Ejiro Sonia's reaction is both sympathetic and lambasting. While she sympathised with the families of the dead victims, she dismissed the 'heaven reaction'. She said: "I guess it wanted to rain "
Cecil Odu-Obi took a swipe at Christianity saying that the "same heaven reacted when Christ was crucified but God Almighty allowed it to happen..."
Gift Efenator gave a decisive reaction. He said nothing happened to the sky. He advised Nigerians to "stop spiritualizing everything."

Munachi Kingsley also believed that nothing spiritual happened to the sky. He said what happened was just a 'change in weather' which should not be mistaken for a 'sign from God'.
He ends his comment with a rhetorical question that drives home his message: "God didn't stop there murderers why will he now start showing signs on the day of their burial?"
