An early morning rain in Lagos state on Friday, May 25, has left some areas flooded.
Channels Television reports that some residents of the affected areas of the commercial city woke up to flooded streets.
The areas include: Ketu, Bariga and Ojota which were all flooded as a result of the early morning downpour which lasted for several hours.
It was gathered that motorists were forced to park their vehicles as others forced their way through the flood.
Also, commuters who were trapped due to the flooding had to trek to their place of work, while those who did not mind the flood did so at snail speed due to the gridlock it caused.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that the Lagos state government had allocated corner shops and inaugurates market sanitation task force to reduce flooding in the state.
The state government said the need for the allocation followed the incident of a recent flood which has destroyed properties in various areas in the state.
Lagos government said the distribution of the 30 shops to beneficiaries of the pilot scheme at Onikan, Lagos, explained that the initiative was part of efforts at eradicating street trading within Lagos Central Business District.
