Ronaldo says he can not forget the day police invaded his boat

- The 33-year old attacker also said he is different player from Salah

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo revealed his unforgettable moment was when his boat was stormed by police.

The Portugal star was investigated last year by Spanish authorities after he was being accused of evading around £13m.

The 33-year-old has been in a legal battle for months and reports suggested the ex-Manchester United star has agreed to pay around £12m and admit to four courts of tax evasion.

Ronaldo was enjoying a break in Formentera last summer in a small island that neighbours famous resort, Ibiza, when police boarded his boat.

"There are thousands of boats in Formentera and police boarded the smallest one, Cristiano Ronaldo's one," he told La Sexta.

"They had guns and cameras. Are we murderers or what? I went up and asked 'what is going on here?'

"It annoyed me but what are you going to do?"

Ronaldo insisted he was confident the legal battle could be resolved despite the controversies surrounding the allegations.

Meanwhile, the former Sporting Lisbon star has opened up on comparisons to Liverpool goal machine Mohamed Salah ahead of the Champions League final in Kiev.

He told BT Sport: "People want to compare me with other players, I am different to everyone. Salah is different to everyone. So we are different.

"He plays with the left, I play with the right, I'm tall, he's a little bit shorter. I play with my head, you know – we are completely different. But I have to say he has had a fantastic season, but Saturday, let's see."

Los Blancos and the Reds will square up in the Champions League final, a repeat of the classical match played in 1981, where Liverpool won by a lone goal.

However, Real has not lost in any final of the European Cup since the 1-0 defeat to the Merseyside club.

Meanwhile NAIJ.com had earlier reported that up to 1,000 Anfield fans have been stranded in the airport in Liverpool ahead of tomorrow's final in Kiev.
