PDP leaders visit Metuh in National Hospital

The leadership of the People Democratic Party (PDP) has visited the party's former national publicity secretary Olisa Metuh.

NAIJ.com gathered that these PDP members were at the National Hospital on Thursday, May 24, to visit Metuh who was rushed to the hospital following a fall at a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.

Speaking during the visit, the national publicity secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the party is shocked by the state of health of the former spokesperson.

Ologbondiyan said Metuh who the doctors said had already lost sensation in his lower limbs might have complications.

"We are here at the National Hospital to visit our former National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, who was rushed in here on Monday by medical personnel of the Federal High Court, following a fall in the courtroom while attending his trial.

“We are indeed saddened by his deteriorated state of health, which is as a result of his inability to access the recommended medical treatment outside the country.

“Our fear now is that his continued inability to access the required medical care could result in irreversible negative health consequences and that would be very unfortunate," Ologbondiyan said.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com earlier reported that Metuh, is set to undergo an emergency surgery at the National Hospital in Abuja.

The emergency surgery, NAIJ.com gathered is a result of his fall at the Federal High Court on Monday, May 21.

A medical reports said Metuh is suffering from spondylotic spine ailment - a degenerative disc disease which refers to the normal aging process to the disc or spine.
