- Real Madrid defender Marcelo has confirmed his side's readiness to face Liverpool
- The Brazilian football star says his side will not focus on Mohamed Salah alone
- Los Blancos are the defending champions of the Champions League
Real Madrid defender Marcelo has stated clearly that Los Blancos defense will not focus on Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah alone ahead of the Champions League final in Kiev.
Liverpool and Real Madrid will go head to head on Saturday night in the final of the 2017/18 Champions League in which Salah and Ronaldo will be the main men for the two clubs.
Marcelo explained that if Real Madrid focus too much on Liverpool’s danger man, then they will lose sight of the other threats in Jurgen Klopp’s side.
“It's not just Salah at Liverpool. It's not about three or fours players, we can't think of anything other than a team Liverpool as a whole. That's how you win things.
“I know my role and what I have to do. Liverpool are a magnificent team and have had an excellent season.
“Many things have changed over the years, but not the hunger to win trophies, important things. Madrid have a history, which is to fight for every competition we enter,'' the Brazilian star explained according to Mirror UK.
Real Madrid are the defending champions of the UCL, and Los Blancos will want to retain their title after losing their La Liga crown to rivals Barcelona.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Premier League side Liverpool will face Spanish giants Real Madrid in the final of the 2017/18 Champions League in Kiev.
The match will be a repeat of the European Cup final in 1981 where the Anfield giants defeated Los Blancos by a lone goal.
