Egyptian FA confident of Salah's World Cup chances

Egyptian FA have expressed confidence that optimistic over Mohamed Salah’s making their World Cup squad after Champions League final injury

The Liverpool star forward was forced off in the first half against Real Madrid, but his nation is confident he will bounce back in time for Russia.

The Egyptian Football Association took to their official Twitter handle to post a tweet which claims that tests have shown the injury is not as bad as first suspected.

The tweet which was written in Arabic when translated to English reads: "During the telephone follow-up conducted by the national team in Italy to check on the case of Muhammad Salah, Liverpool officials reported that the Rays had been performed on the shoulder Salah showed that the injury was alarmed in the shoulder bands and Dr. Al-Ola expressed optimism that Salah would follow the World Cup matches in accordance with this Diagnostic."

Salah went off in tears after half an hour of his side’s 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid, having hurt his shoulder when falling awkwardly under a challenge from Sergio Ramos on Saturday May 26.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said the problem looked “really serious” and, although he was eager to wait for tests, he admitted Salah’s prospects of going to Russia were in jeopardy.
