Police in Kaduna arrest 3 for allegedly vandalizing Buhari's transformer

- A transformer feeding President Muhammadu Buhari's residence in Kaduna has been vandalised

- The police in the state succeeded in arresting three persons suspected to be involved in the vandalisation

- Abdulazeez Abdullahi, Kaduna Electric's boss, assured the public that the suspects will be arraigned when investigations on the development are concluded

The police command in Kaduna have arrested three suspected vandals on Sunday, May 27, for allegedly vandalizing a transformer attached to the residence of President Muhammadu Buhari along Sultan road in the state, Daily Trust reports.

Abdulazeez Abdullahi, Kaduna Electric's head of corporate communication, said that the suspects vandalized cables on the transformer which affected power supply to residents feeding from it.

Abdullahi stated that the miscreants were taken to the Unguwan Rimi police station and are expected to be arraigned upon conclusion of investigation.

The power firm praised the prompt response of the police that aided the arrest of the vandals. It also promised the public that justice will surely be done on the criminals.

Abdulazeez however, urged customers to help in the fight against vandalism, which he described as one of the key hindrances to adequate power supply.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com reported that the personal assistant to the president on social media, Lauretta Onochie, had accused former president Olusegun Obasanjo of forming and leading a coalition of past corrupt leaders against the president.

Onochie, using her personal Twitter account to tweet, claimed that Obasanjo had failed to answer a simple question posed by President Buhari. She added that the president inherited serious electric power supply problems.
