Joachim Low believes Barcelona forward Lionel Messi is a more 'complete player' to Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
The German machine boss could potentially face Messi and Ronaldo at the Mundial this summer, as both players’ continue their quest for in football's grandest prize.
The lethal forwards further cemented their status as two of the greatest players of the modern era, after dominating the Ballon d'Or awards over the past ten years.
Surprisingly, Low according to Sun citing Germany newspaper, Bild disclosed that he would rather opt for the Argentinian international in his team, despite praising the Real Madrid’s superstar.
The 48-year-old football tactician said: "I would stick with Messi.
"Cristiano Ronaldo is sensational, a very good professional, an incredible goalscoring machine for many years, but Messi is the most complete player I have seen.
"He is a great team player. He's provided 30 to 40 assists for the last 10 years as well as scoring around 50 goals.
"He's capable of leaving eight or nine players in his path and his goals always stay in your memory."
Interestingly, both players have enjoyed contrasting results in major tournaments for their respective countries recently, with Ronaldo helping Portugal to victory at Euro 2016.
Messi, on the other hand, ended up as a runner-up at the 2014 World Cup, as well as the two previous Copa America's.
