What Nigerians are saying about 2018 Democracy Day

Nigerians are celebrating 19 years of uninterrupted democratic governance in the country on Tuesday, May 29. This day also marks the third anniversary of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

The federal government had also declared it as a public holiday to enable Nigerians to celebrate.

As the nation celebrates, Nigerians have bared their mind on the good the bad and the ugly. Some are of the opinion that Democracy Day has become a day to cry for help as there is increase killing, insecurity and hardship across the country.

Meanwhile, others are thankful to God for bringing the country this far while praying for the nation to overcome its challenges.

In the early hours of Tuesday, May 29, President Muhammadu Buhari made a nationwide broadcast to Nigerians in commemoration of this year’s Democracy Day.

In his third Democracy day address to Nigerians, President Buhari listed the achievements of his government and his administration’s plans going forward. He said his administration came at a time that Nigerians needed change and they will continue to deliver change.
