Twitter react to Zinedine Zidane's sudden resignation after winning 3 Champions League titles

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has announced his sudden resignation as the head coach of Los Blancos on Thursday, May 31.

The French tactician only joined the Galacticos in 2016 after managing Real Madrid Team B for two seasons.

He succeeded Rafael Benitez as the head coach of the team in the middle of 2016-17 season and immediately conquered Europe by winning the club's 11th Champions League title.

Zidane repeated the feat of winning the UEFA elite club competition title in his second term at the club, only that this time, he added the Spanish League title to his feathers.

Just as if that wasn't enough, the France legend won his third straight Champions League to become the first manager to win the title three times in a row in modern day football.

Apart from winning three Champions League titles, Zidane also won two UEFA Super Cups, two FIFA Club World Cups, one Spanish League title and a Super Cup.

While at the Santiago Bernabeu as a player, the 1998 World Cup winning midfielder also won a Champions League title in the jerseys of Madrid in 2002.

Zidane spent five seasons at Madrid and won a La Liga title (2002–03), Spanish Super Cup (2001 and 2003), UEFA Super Cup (2002) and one Intercontinental Cup (2002).

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Zinedine Zidane has announced his resignation from the Spanish League giants following his triumph in the Champions League.

The Frenchman led the Galacticos to their third straight Champions League triumph after beating Liverpool 3-1 in Kiev on Saturday, May 26.

He joined the Santiago Bernabeu outfit in the winter of 2016 after taking over from Rafael Benitez after working with the club's Castilla side.

Zidane led the Galacticos to claim the 2016 UCL title after beating their city rivals Atletico Madrid in his first season at the club.
