Egypt superstar Mohamed Salah returns to training after Champions League injury

- Mohamed Salah posted a picture of himself in the gym training for the first time after his disappointing injury last weekend

- The 25-year-old suffered a shoulder injury after being challenged by Sergio Ramos in their Champions League encounter

- He has however handed the Egyptian national team something to cheer about as he has started light training in his race to recover for this year's World Cup

Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has returned to training for the first time since he suffered a shoulder injury while on duty for his Premier League outfit.

The 25-year-old was forced out of the Reds 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev on Saturday, May 26.

He however took to his social media page earlier today to post a picture of himself in the gym trying to get the arm to work.

Salah spotted in black top posted a picture of himself trying work on his injured shoulder with an inscription saying ‘good feelings’ accompanying the post.

The former Chelsea striker had a fantastic first season at Anfield – scoring 44 goals in all competitions for the Champions League runners up.

His performance all season long earned him several accolades in the league and beyond – with the Egyptian winning the EPL top scorer award, the PFA Player of the Year Award, the Writers player of the year award amongst several others.

He was also voted Liverpool’s best player of the year – while at the start of the year, he beat Senegal forward Sadio Mane to the African best player award.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the Egyptian FA are confident Mohamed Salah will make their World Cup squad after Champions League final injury.

The Liverpool star forward was forced off in the first half against Real Madrid, but his nation is confident he will bounce back in time for Russia.
