Premier League campaigners, Liverpool have made public the imminent departure of star midfielder Emre Can who is reportedly close to switch to Serie A champions, Juventus.

The Champions League finalist also revealed that 25-year-old academy product Jon Flanagan would be heading to the exit doors this transfers season.

According to the UK Mirror report, citing Liverpool's official social media handle, disclosed that the German star midfielder will leave Anfield once his contract expires this summer.

"Emre Can and Jon Flanagan will both leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts this summer “Everybody at LFC thanks all departing players for their contributions and wishes them the best of luck for the future," the post on the Reds official Twitter account read in part.

The Germany international who refused to extend his stay at the Premier League side has been heavily linked with a switch to the Old Lady's during the past season.

Kop's manager Jürgen Klopp also tried to persuade his compatriot to keep fail with Liverpool but the highly-rated 24-year-old had his targets elsewhere.

Already, the Reds have sealed Fabinho's £43million deal last week and are also expecting Naby Keita to further beef up their squad as he joins from Bundesliga side, RB Leipzig this summer.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that Liverpool are reportedly plotting a deal for £10million-rated (about N3.6bn) Super Eagles star Moses Simon.

Interestingly, two other Premier League sides, Newcastle and Brighton are also keeping vigil on the recuperating 22-year-old winger who currently plies his trade with Belgian side Gent.
