France coach sweats over Mbappe's injury four days before their opening game

- Paris Saint Germain is doubtful for France opening game against Australia this weekend

- The 19-year-old picked up a foot injury during his side's training session on Tuesday

- He might recover well in time to return to the team but unlikely to take part in that particular game

Just two days to the kick off of this year’s FIFA World Cup staging in Russia this summer, France were handed an injury scare after Paris Saint Germain was forced out of their training sessions earlier on Tuesday.

The 19-year-old was said to have suffered a knock from Adil Rami four days before their opening Group C encounter against Australia on Saturday, June 16.

He is after the initial diagnoses doubtful for this weekend’s clash following an injury sustained in training.

According to reports from the venue of the championship, the defender seems to have matched Mbappe's foot causing him distress, collapsing to the floor before receiving medical attention.

The PSG attacker before this minor injury is one of the attacking options for the French national team coach, Didier Deschamps, but with this new development, he might have to readjust his plans towards their opening group game.

Mbappe was impressive in all competitions for his French League side – helping them to win treble in the domestic scene but was unable to help them cross the round of 16 stage in the Champions League.

He has only spent one season at the Parc Des Princes and he has already got 13 goals in 27 appearances for the club.

The striker also made his national team debut in 2017 – and since then has netted four goals in 15 matches in the star-studded French squad.

Previously, Legit.ng reported that the France international Kylian Mbappe has downplayed speculation linking his Paris Saint-Germain teammate Neymar with a move to Real Madrid.

Neymar moved to the Parc des Princes from Barcelona in a world-record £198m deal last summer and became an instant hit in the French Ligue 1 with the Spanish giants lobbying for his signature.

However Mbappe is adamant that the rumours about the Brazilian leaving for the Bernabeu at the end of the season are all false.
