- Lauretta Onochie has accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of borrowing money for the purpose of looting
- She also claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) borrowed for development
- Onochie said these in reaction to a statement made by Reno Omokri on his Twitter handle
President Muhammadu Buhari’s social media aide, Lauretta Onochie, has said that the Peoples Demoratic Party (PDP) borrowed money for looting while the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) borrowed for development.
She was reacting to a comment by Reno Omokri on his Twitter handle.
Part of Omokri's statement on twitter had read: "My attention has been drawn to a statement by EFCC claiming that convictions of Nyame and Dariye, vindicates them from the oft repeated accusation that EFCC, under Buhari, is lukewarm in prosecuting chieftains of the ruling APC for corruption.
"The fact is that Dariye and Nyame, the two former PDP members recently convicted for fraud, were charged and prosecuted by the PDP administrations of Yar’adua and Jonathan’ and not by the APC led government of Muhammadu Buhari.
"Joshua Dariye, then a PDP member was charged to court on July 13, 2007 by the EFCC under the leadership of Malam Nuhu Ribadu who was then serving under a PDP led administration headed by President Umaru Musa Yar’adua and was given a few hand."
In her reaction she said: "Finally, @renoomokri took time off making out with fish to take a swing at air. APC govt, to which Comrade Gov. Adams Oshiomhole belongs, had need to borrow because your PDP govt. was reckless with our funds and failed to save. We borrow for development. PDP borrowed for looting."
Going further, she tweeted that the All Progressive Congress (APC) chairmanship position which Adams Oshiomhole seek to occupy was ‘Signed. Sealed. Delivered. He’s ours."
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie, accused former president Olusegun Obasanjo of forming and leading a coalition of past corrupt leaders against the president.
Onochie, using her personal twitter account to tweet, claimed that Obasanjo has failed to answer a simple question posed by President Buhari. She added that the president inherited 'a nation in darkness' and Obasanjo is angry at Buhari's effort to fix Nigeria.
