Not many people have second chance to live but this Catholic priest just did. You can call him a cat with many lives if you want.
The Catholic priest, Reverend Father Lucien Ambunga, that NAIJ.com reported was inflicted with the deadly Ebola virus has survived it.
The priest who pastors in a remote rural community of Itipo of DR Congo has reportedly returned to his parish on Friday, June 8, after recovering from Ebola.
After he got infected in May while praying for an Ebola patient, the cleric was taken to an isolation centre in the town of Bikoro where there is an Ebola treatment centre.
While at the centre, Catholic bishops alongside other clerics visited to pray for him and the prayer and medic*tion worked for him as he beats Ebola to be alive today.
On his return back to the church he pastors, he was greeted by a joyous crowd, who carried him shoulder high and chanted “The hero this year is Courage (Father Ambunga’s nickname).”
The excited Reverend Father expressed joy on his return from a journey he had thought he will never come back. He said. “I can’t explain to you now Madame. It’s too much for me. What I can say, what is in my heart is joy.”
