Nigeria kicked off their 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign on a losing note following their 2-0 defeat to Croatia on Satuday, June 16.
An own goal from Oghenekaro Etebo and a penalty kick from Luka Modric handed the Croats their first win of the competition.
The result pushed the European giants to the top of the table with three points and two goals while the Super Eagles are at the base with no point and minus two goals.
However, John Obi Mikel's partner, Olga Diyachenko has sent her spouse an encouraging message, urging him to not to give up after the diappointing defeat.
She shared her family picture on social media with a message saying: "You win some, you lose some my love... you are always a winner in my eyes. Love you ♥️ Go Nigeria."
Mikel played most part of the game as he was substituted in the 88th minute to allow Simeon Nwankwo have a feel of the pitch for the remaining two minutes in the game.
Nigeria will now have a chance to redeem their image when they battle Iceland in their next group encounter at the Volvograd Arena on Friday, June 22.

And a win for them in their remaining two games will propel them to the next stage of the championship - else, they will be among the early teams that will be bundled out of the tourney.
NAIJ.com previously reported that the Super Eagles tasted their first defeat to Croatia as they lost by 2-0 in their opening match of Group D.
Ogehenekaro Etebor unfortunately scored an own goal as Mario Manduzkic's flying header came off his foot and the ball rolled into the net to put Croatia ahead.

Gernot Rohr's men did not create a meaningful chance in the first half but came back strongly in the second half.
